I’m getting married soon (ahh!) and decided I wanted vintage books for centerpieces. What better place to buy books than a shop in Boston that sells books for $1, $3 and $5. Books on a budget! I love the Brattle Book Shop; it’s my favorite store in Boston.
Little did I know that carrying around 30+ hardcovers would wreak such havoc on my shoulders (and those of the dear friend I dragged with me), but it was (probably) worth it.
Okay, so I didn’t buy the Tanith. And I know what you’re thinking. “WHAT? But you’re obsessed with Tanith!” And while I think this cover is rad, I also think it’s hideous and I didn’t want to spend money on it:
Also we stopped for sushi in a little place in Chinatown, because, sushi! I ordered this neat little seaweedless roll, which was pretty tasty.
I did do a little shopping for myself of course – some sweet vintage Rudyard Kipling and another addition to my Pelican Classics Shakespeare.
