Judging A Book

Judging A Book By Its Cover: Griffin and Sabine

This is my weekly post where I highlight and appreciate cover designs and the general physical appearance of books. We all judge book covers to some extent. I can’t say that I’ve ever decided against a book with terrible cover art if I liked the sound of the plot, but I have purchased special editions of books or multiple editions of books based on their cover art. If book covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t put out so many beautiful editions!

I won this book back in February from LibraryThing and I’m so happy it finally arrived, as I’d lost hope of ever actually receiving it. This is an awesome book with actual envelopes you can open that contain the correspondence between Griffin and Sabine. This is the 25th-anniversary edition so it comes with a bonus (blank) postcard in the back and some stamp shaped stickers. 2016 reprint by Chronicle books, ISBN: 9781452155951.
