April Wrap Up

April!

In April I read 11 books for a total of 2,652 pages and an average of 88 pages per day. It turned out to be a great month, given my slow start.

The standouts were The Tangled Lands and Killing Gravity though I had a pretty solid reading month. I ended up with two DNFs though, but I’m glad I didn’t push myself to finish them. I’d rather spend the time reading I something enjoy.

My TBR Tear Down has been a complete bust again. I was going to move on with the Artemis Fowl series, but as you may recall from my review, I decided I didn’t want to finish it. I didn’t end up picking any other books. Back on track next month, hopefully!

I figured I’d do a quarterly update as well. I’m at 44 books for the year, which Goodreads estimates as 3 books ahead of schedule for my goal of 125. Woo! Of those 44, only 8 are in my dusty bookshelf category, which is abysmal.

A further breakdown:

Male authors: 16
Female authors: 29 (my math isn’t wrong, Obsidio gets credit for both)

5 stars: 15
4 stars: 11
3 stars: 10
2 stars: 6
1 star: 2

Not bad! I’m trying to avoid those 1s and 2s. Hence the 4 DNFs I have so far.

Feel free to update me on your own reading goals! How’s it going? I don’t actively try to read a certain amount of books a month, I just try to read as much as my life allows. I’m glad to see I’m on track so far (likely this is because I shirk adult duties and avoid having a social life, but whatever!)
