Judging A Book

Judging A Book By Its Cover: The Books of Bayern

This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent – I created this feature to highlight and appreciate the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t put out so many wonderful editions!

This series by Shannon Hale (writer of one of my favorite books, Austenland) has cover illustrations by Peter Strain and cover design by Colleen Andrews & Yelena Safronova. These editions were all published in 2017 by Bloomsbury.

The Goose Girl – ISBN: 9781681193168
Enna Burning – ISBN: 9781681193175
River Secrets – ISBN: 9781681193182
Forest Born – ISBN: 9781681193199

    1. No problem! Book outlet happened to have all four and my fear of not being able to get a matching set if I liked the first book compelled me to buy them all at once lol
