This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!
Hi, I’m back with more middle-grade I haven’t read yet – surprising NO ONE. Winterhouse is by Ben Guterson, with illustrations by Chloe Bristol and cover design by April Ward, published in 2018 by Square Fish, ISBN: 9781250294197. Once again, Sqaurefish is coming in clutch with a well-designed and wonderfully illustrated book! When are they going to start doing this with books for adults!?
I DEMAND ILLUSTRATED BOOKS FOR ALL!
Ahem.
On to more pictures!
How I would want to look as a cartoon.
Boris and Natasha meets Gomez and Morticia.
I like this wordplay. I’m wondering if it has anything to do with the story. I could find out if I read it!
Um. How have I never heard of this book? Hotel setting? Library? Magic books? Sold! You should totally pick this up this month for Middle Grade March!
