Judging A Book

Judging A Book By Its Cover: Mermaids

This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!

I took this little art book off a friend’s hands. It’s compiled by Elizabeth Ratisseau, published in 1998 by Laughing Elephant Books, with artwork from various artists, ISBN: 188321114X. It’s just nice to look at, with little snippets from writers and artists, etc. about merms. A good coffee table book or something to look at for inspiration if you want to write or draw some mermies.
