This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!
Picked up this gem at a Scholastic sale – they had me at illustrations. I’m a sucker for thick, glossy pages too. This is “freely abridged from Eden Phillpotts’s 1910 fantasy” by Katherine and John Patterson and illustrated by John Rocco (graphite illustrations with digital color), published in 2011 by Candlewick Press, ISBN: 9780763647124.
I love the illustrations in this!!! Oh!! I gotta get it too. Love! Love! Love!
