Judging A Book

Judging A Book By Its Cover: Enola Holmes and The Case of the Missing Marquess

This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!

You may recall I wrote a (somewhat lame) review of the Enola Holmes series by Nancy Springer. It’s a series and review I should revisit because the series is amazing and my review doesn’t do it justice. If you like middle-grade, mysteries, and Sherlock, this series is a must-read!

So, of course, I was excited when I found out that someone was making comic editions. I was even more excited when I found out the comics are large format. Can’t wait to own the whole set!

Comic: Illustrated (and adapted?) by Serena Blasco, published in 2018 by EuroComics, ISBN: 9781684053360.

Novel: Written by Nancy Springer with cover illustration by Hugh D’Andrade and cover design by Jeanine Henderson, published in 2006 by Puffin, ISBN: 9780142409336.
