Judging A Book

Judging A Book By Its Cover: The Wit and Wisdom of Jane Austen

This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!

Phone for scale haha.

This is a cute little book of quotes and illustrations from Austen novels. I bought it from Book Outlet for super cheap and I recommend it for Austen fans and those who like little quote books. It’s edited by Joelle Herr, with cover and interior design by Alicia Freile & Tango Media. Published in 2017 by Appleseed Press, ISBN: 9781604336511.

As someone with a brother, I heartily agree!

  1. I saw this book when it was on Book Outlet and considered purchasing it. I thought it would be a lovely coffee table book. I didn’t pull the trigger because I didn’t absolutely NEED it. It looks like a wonderful addition to an Austen collection for a die hard Austen fan like you 🙂

    1. Haha yeah I’m in deep with the Austen collection. It’s definitely a cute coffee table book. Something to flip through when you just want to read something simple for a moment. I like the illustrations too.
