This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert has jacket art and illustrations by Jim Tierney and was published in 2018 by Flatiron Books, ISBN: 9781250297327
Amber and Dusk by Lyra Selene has jacket art by vault 49 with jacket design by Elizabeth B. Parisi and was published in 2018 by Scholastic. This happens to be the Shelf Love Crate edition with art by Kat Adara, ISBN: 978-1338210033. Pretty good find for a used bookstore haul!
The satiny book jackets are nice, but dang do they show fingerprints.
I love when books have chapter art!
They’re both beautiful! Wonderfully high quality pics btw. Been meaning to read The Hazel Wood for many months now, didn’t notice before how pretty the cover was until seeing it up close.
