This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!
This lovely gem was written by Karina Yan Glaser, with jacket illustration by Karl James Mountford, jacket design by Sheila Smallwood, interior illustrations by Karina, and map by Jennifer Thermes. It was published in 2017 by HMH Books, ISBN: 9780544876392.
I really love the colors in the cover art and the purple map in the interior!
I fell in love with this book purely for the cover too. A lovely post.

Thanks!’The rest of the covers make me want to buy the whole series and I don’t even know if I’ll like the story! Haha.

I have no idea what the story is about but I adore the illustrations. Thanks for sharing!
