This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!
Lilu decided she wanted to be in the first picture and I let her because one of the books I’m featuring today has cats on the cover! I wanted to feature Chilling Effect because it’s lovely and Bringing Down the Duke because it’s Regency themed and that fits with Austen Month!
Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore has cover illustrations by Farjana Yasmin, book design by Laura K. Corless, and was published in 2019 by Berkley, ISBN: 9781984805683.
Chilling Effect by Valerie Valdes has a cover illustration by Julie Dillon and was designed by Joy O’Meara. It was published in 2019 by Harper Voyager, ISBN: 9780062877239.
Look at that cutie!
Both of these are books that I did not end up loving but had awesome covers that led to me picking them up. I really wish I would have gotten more telepathic cats.
