Judging A Book

Judging A Book By Its Cover: Deeplight and Where the Crawdads Sing

This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!

I have some guest photos today! My dear Mel kindly photographed these two lovely books which she recently acquired. She loves signed copies and both of these happen to be signed. Also I’m totally thirsting for that edition of Deeplight, surprising no one.

Deeplight by Frances Hardinge, published in 2019 by Pan MacMillan, ISBN: 9781785177026.

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens, with jacket design by Na Kim, published in 2019 by G.P. Putnam’s Sons, ISBN: 9780593187982.

  1. With the use of ebooks these days, I don’t always pay attention to the covers. Both of these books be on me list to read and both of them are rather stunning. I am especially partial to deeplight. I want that now!
