Judging A Book

Judging A Book By Its Cover: Last Stop on the Reindeer Express

This is my weekly post where I highlight beautiful books from my collection. We all judge book covers to some extent (don’t lie, you totally do!) I created this feature to showcase and admire the art and design elements of some of the books I own. If covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t make so many wonderful editions!

I’m so pleased to have another guest post from Zezee! I saw she posted pictures of this adorable children’s book on Instagram and I told her she was more than welcome to take more pics for a Judging post and she obliged! I love the color palette and the little details like doors that open.

This was published by Doubleday Books for Young Readers, written by Maudie Powell-Tuck and illustrated by Karl James Mountford (now I want to own every book he’s worked on – I’d frame everything from his website and hang it all over my house too), ISBN: 9781524771669.

  1. 😀 Thanks for inviting me to do another Judging Books post. I’d love to get more of Mountford’s work too. The illustrations in this book are adorable and I love the colors in the ones on the website,
